FRENZY
Simplifying the world around me is one of my greatest passions. Through these simplified interpretations, I capture the essence of what catches my eye.
In my work, I emphasize certain elements and blend things that don't typically mix in reality. This approach allows me to deeply infuse my emotions into the inspirations I draw from.
During a live painting, I transform the surroundings of the location and the event onto my canvas. I do that by firstly walking around the premises to truly feel the location. After that I do a lot of sketching, and simplifying the things I see around me, so that I can capture the essence of the surroundings.
With these sketches, I go painting and transform my ideas onto the canvas. With blending sketches and reality I can steer the painting and really put in my emotions.
My live paintings are a true duel between the atmosphere and the canvas. I constantly go back and forth, feeling everything and transferring it to the painting, repeating this process over and over.
